Did the operation in the Kursk region affect the front? Answer from a Ukrainian Armed Forces officer.
The occupiers have increased the number of attempts to break through the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defenses in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions in recent days. This was reported by an officer of the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Yakiv Handzyuk, Serhii Tsekhotsky, on Kyiv24.
Against the backdrop of these current events in the Kursk "People's Republic", the enemy has activated some kind of illness. The Russians maximized everything they have at their disposal and started using it on the battlefield in very large quantities. Therefore, we characterize the situation as very tense. However, it is still controlled by the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," said Serhii Tsekhotsky.
The officer added that the Russian army has increased the number of shellings of Defense Forces positions, the number of UAV drops.
As for the section where our brigade is directly holding the defense, I will say that the enemy is 100% unsuccessful. We play with them like a cat with a mouse. Yesterday there was an attempt at an infantry assault, almost a psychological attack - the Russians went directly across the field, like Chapayev... Due to this, our dinner was postponed to a later time," the statement reads.
Recall that as a result of another night attack by Russian drones on the Kyiv region on August 11, two civilians died - a father and his four-year-old child. A missile fragment hit their house, causing destruction and a fire.
Later, the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, reacted to the death of civilian people. He stated that the world must not remain silent when Russians kill civilians in Ukraine every day.
There was also information that on the night of August 11, UAVs and ballistic missiles like the Iskander-M or the North Korean KN-23 tried to attack Kyiv, but by the forces and means of air defense, all enemy strike drones were shot down in the airspace of the capital of Ukraine.
