Pope Leo XIII called for the preservation of spiritual traditions
During the Jubilee of Eastern Churches in the Vatican, Pope Leo XIII welcomed the faithful of the Eastern rite and emphasized the importance of preserving their spiritual traditions. He urged everyone to pray for true peace, which means reconciliation, forgiveness, and the courage to start anew.
“Let's meet, talk, and hold negotiations!” - urged Pope Francis to follow the path of dialogue.
Pope Leo XIII expressed his confidence in the necessity of doing everything possible to establish peace. He confirmed the Holy See's readiness to help enemies meet face to face and engage in dialogue so that people everywhere could find hope and the dignity of peace.
Pope Leo XIII called for a renunciation of weapons, which only complicate problems and deepen conflicts. He emphasized that war is not inevitable and hopes for meeting and dialogue to achieve unity and peace.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his desire to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the new Pope, which will take place in the Vatican. The participation of the head of the Ukrainian state will depend on the results of negotiations planned for this week in Turkey.
