Pensions in Ukraine Increased by 11.5%: Head of the Pension Fund Explained the Reasons.
Increase of Pensions in 2025
According to inkorr.com: In 2025, the Pension Fund of Ukraine increased pensions by 11.5%. The head of the Pension Fund, Yevhen Kapinus, in a special interview for 24 Channel, explained the methodology for calculating this increase and why it turned out to be greater than in previous years.
According to Kapinus, the indexation coefficient is determined by two main elements: 50% from the increase in consumer prices and 50% from the growth of the average salary in Ukraine, on which insurance contributions are paid, for the three years prior to the increase. The coefficient for the growth of the average salary is approved by the government annually. In 2025, pensions were recalculated with a coefficient of 1.115.
The Pension Fund of Ukraine conducts 'regulatory' recalculations of pensions every month, taking into account various indicators that affect their size. The last increase occurred in March, and the recalculation for working pensioners was conducted in April.
Thus, the increase in pensions in 2025 is a significant step towards improving the lives of pensioners in Ukraine. It is important for the authorities to continue monitoring the economic situation and ensure the stability of payments to maintain the social security of citizens.
