Predictions for the end of the war with Russia

According to inkorr.com: Vadym Skibitskyi, Deputy Head of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, reported that real negotiations regarding the end of the war with Russia could only begin in 2026. He revealed this information during an interview for Novyny.LIVE, as noted by 'Glavcom'.

In February 2025, General Budanov, head of intelligence, expressed hope for the possibility of ending the war by the end of that year. However, he has now stated that Russia is actively preparing for a winter campaign, planning to continue the war with the aim of seizing new territories of Ukraine.

In 2025, there were certain preconditions for ending the war by the end of the year, but now these plans are no longer relevant.

The Deputy Head of the GUR added that negotiations could only become possible next year, depending on the actions of the Ukrainian authorities.

In 2026, real negotiations on a true end to the war are possible. We will observe the results of our politicians' work.

It is also worth noting that Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, warned that the coming years in Ukraine would not be completely peaceful, and citizens should prepare for various challenges.

Thus, during the interview, it became clear that real negotiations regarding the end of the war with Russia could be expected no earlier than 2026, as Russia demonstrates readiness to continue hostilities.

As of today, it is vital to understand that the situation remains complicated, and the future depends on many factors. The actions of the Ukrainian authorities, international support, and the development of military events can significantly influence the possibility of achieving peace. Time will tell how events will unfold in this context.
