Residents of Kyiv region blocked the road due to a two-day blackout: what was the reason.
According to ТСН: In Kyiv region, in Kriukivshchyna, residents of the local residential complex "Eurocity" blocked the road due to the lack of electricity supply, which has lasted since December 6.
This is confirmed by the video "Real Kyiv". The residents of the complex decided to protest due to the prolonged power outage.
Why Kriukivshchyna is without electricity
The Kyiv regional military administration has already responded to the situation, explaining the reasons for the prolonged blackout and the estimated time for restoration of electricity supply.
"On December 6, as a result of overloading of the power grid, several accidents occurred simultaneously on the 10 kV networks. According to energy workers, network cables burned underground due to maximum loads on the network," the authorities said.
Electricity restoration is planned for today, December 7, at 21:00.
The Kyiv ODA and DTEK emphasize the importance of gradually turning on electrical appliances after power is restored.
"We ask all residents to gradually turn on electrical appliances after the electricity is restored. This is critically important to prevent overload of the network," they urged.
It is also worth noting that on Monday, December 8, Ukrainians will remain without electricity until 16:00 due to the introduced outages for the whole day.
Thus, the situation with electricity supply in Kriukivshchyna and other regions continues to be complicated. Residents must be prepared for possible restrictions, and the regional administration and energy workers are working to restore a normal electricity supply schedule. The importance of following recommendations regarding turning on electrical appliances will help avoid new accidents and outages.
