The head of the German Ministry of Defense, Boris Pistorius, stated that he does not rule out the possibility of German military presence in Ukraine. He indicated that German soldiers could guard the area that will become a buffer during the ceasefire. However, this issue was not discussed during his visit to Kyiv.

Earlier, Boris Pistorius noted that Germany could play a certain role in ensuring a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine. However, specific details about the structure of peacekeeping forces have not yet been clarified.

The Minister of Defense supported European politicians who believe that the decision to place military forces in Ukraine is premature until active negotiations and a ceasefire begin.

The German Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock, also did not rule out the possibility of sending German troops to Ukraine to ensure a peaceful regime.

Currently, the war in eastern Ukraine has lasted for 1061 days. With 4 missile and 22 airstrikes carried out by Russian terrorists, using 6 missiles and 30 guided aviation bombs, as well as 817 kamikaze drones and more than 4300 shellings of Ukrainian military positions and residential areas, the scale of the conflict can be understood.
