Fighters of the 36th Marine Brigade, who are fighting in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, performed a heroic act that could be filmed in a movie, reports the monitoring project DeepState.

Nine marines took positions to cover the evacuation of wounded Ukrainian soldiers from Lyubimovka in the Kursk region but were surrounded by Russian forces.

«The fighters decided to throw themselves under artillery fire, and artillery shells, including American cluster munitions, were fired at their position. The house where the guys were located was hit, and it caught fire», writes the project.

After this, looking at this scene with drones was very sad. It was obvious that due to the artillery strike, the group perished. But after some time all nine warriors made it out of the encirclement.

«All are alive and were able to help other wounded... We are proud of them and hope that the heroes will receive awards», notes DeepState.

Earlier, the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region defeated a unit of Russian troops known for their mistreatment of Ukrainians.

It also became known that the situation in the Kursk region is changing hourly.

The commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, visited military units and subdivisions operating in the Sumy and Kursk regions. He made decisions aimed at preventing enemy actions and inflicting maximum losses on them.

In addition, Ukrainian paratroopers in the Kursk region destroyed a unit of Russian marines.

Earlier, analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) analyzed maps and satellite images from the front and reported that the occupiers are actively operating in the Donetsk region and are advancing in the Kursk region. To some extent, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have success in the Kupyansk direction.

Recall that the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over part of the Kursk region forced Russia to more frequent exchanges of prisoners of war with Ukraine. This is reported by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
