Poland introduces transparent salaries: what will change for employees.
According to inkorr.com: Poland plans to amend labor legislation regarding wages and hiring. The proposed changes will require employers to disclose salary information and ensure equal pay conditions for men and women. These changes will take effect on December 3, 2025, including the publication of salary ranges for all job vacancies.
New rights for candidates
Job candidates will be able to review salary conditions before signing contracts, and employers will not be allowed to ask about applicants' previous earnings. This will provide more information to future employees before interviews.
According to the Polish publication Infor.pl, these rules will allow working individuals to compare their salaries with market standards, which may lead to increased demands for salary raises. Larger corporations will also be subject to stricter requirements, including monitoring the pay levels between women and men.
Compensation for gender discrimination
In cases of gender discrimination in salaries, employees will be able to claim compensation. Despite European requirements calling for changes to be implemented by June 2026, Poland has decided to start rolling them out as early as June 2025.
Thus, an important process of implementing changes in labor payment legislation begins in Poland. The new rules aim to increase transparency in salary calculations, reduce gender discrimination, and create equal conditions for all employees. This may lead to greater equity in the labor market and a possible increase in salaries in large companies.
