In Ivano-Frankivsk, stray dogs were poisoned: police are investigating a series of cases.
According to ТСН: On the evening of December 17, the police of Ivano-Frankivsk received a report from residents who discovered two stray dogs near the city lake. According to citizens, the animals were in convulsions.
According to information from the Ivano-Frankivsk region police, an investigative group promptly responded to the call.
At the scene, it was found that one of the dogs had died, and the other was urgently taken by the police to a veterinary clinic.
The body of the deceased animal was handed over to the employees of KP 'Poligon' for further actions.
To establish the exact cause of death, law enforcement designated necessary examinations.
The police also reported that they had previously received requests about possible poisonings of dogs in the town of Nadvirna. Law enforcement officers went to the site, surveyed the adjacent area, but found no animal corpses.
Currently, the police are working on information regarding potential dog poisonings in the region.
Police are identifying possible witnesses and clarifying all the circumstances of the incident. Based on the results of the investigation, a corresponding legal assessment will be provided.
It is reminded that in Chernihiv region, the police are investigating a case of animal cruelty. A local resident reported to law enforcement that her neighbor shot a dog with a hunting rifle.
This tragic incident draws attention to the issue of animal cruelty in Ukraine. The police are actively working to establish all the circumstances of the case and call on the public to be cautious and responsible regarding stray animals.
