Dog Nayda Found after Nissan Driver in Lviv: Animal Rights Activists Announce Death.
According to ТСН: Animal rights activists reported the death of a dog in a parking lot near Lviv: the animal, named Nayda, was run over by an SUV. She died in a veterinary clinic.
Public Outcry
The organization 'Home for Rescued Animals' emphasized that the entire country was rooting for Nayda.
‘A story with incredible resonance, thousands of shares, and hope for a miracle… So much sympathy and so many people… But even this sometimes does not save from the cruelty that has already happened,’ the message states.
On the Edge of Life and Death
A complex operation was supposed to take place today, but Nayda's heart stopped during preparation. The animal was urgently transferred to the operating room, connected to a mechanical ventilation device, and an incision was made in the abdomen for heart massage. Resuscitation efforts lasted 15-20 minutes, but unfortunately, they did not yield results, and the veterinarians confirmed her death.
‘Tomorrow we will hand over her body for an official autopsy. All data will be included in the materials of the case for the investigation and to hold those responsible accountable. She has left us, but we must see this case through to the end,’ the organization stressed.
Investigation of the Incident
It was also reported that the patrol police have already located the driver of the Nissan Qashqai who ran over the dog in Pustomyty near Lviv and left the scene of the accident. The driver turned out to be a 28-year-old resident of one of the settlements in the Lviv region.
The tragedy with Nayda has sparked widespread public outcry, drawing attention to issues of animal protection and their treatment by people. Holding those responsible for animal cruelty accountable, as well as conducting an investigation, has become an important step in ensuring justice for the deceased animals and their supporters.
