In Moldova, the counting of votes in the second round of the presidential elections is ongoing, where the current president Maia Sandu and the candidate from the Socialist Party Alexander Stoyanoglo are competing.
According to the Central Election Commission of Moldova, after counting more than 87% of the protocols within the country, Alexander Stoyanoglo currently receives 51% of the votes, and Maia Sandu - 49%.
As of 22:33, only about 6% of the diaspora protocols have been processed. Abroad, more than 320,000 voters have voted out of a total of less than 1.7 million votes, indicating an unprecedented turnout of the diaspora.

Maia Sandu addressed the citizens with gratitude for their activity: "Thank you to all the people who participated in the voting, from all corners of the country. I especially thank the residents of Chisinau who came to vote in large numbers today. I also want to thank the young people who set a record turnout. I thank the citizens outside the country who demonstrated exceptional mobilization".
