According to TSN.ua: Officers from the Mohyliv-Podilskyi border unit detained a 34-year-old local man who attempted an illegal crossing into Moldova by swimming the Dniester River. He had equipped himself with a wetsuit and flippers for the risky endeavor.

The arrest occurred as the man was in the middle of his crossing attempt. He now faces administrative penalties for his actions. This incident is just one of several recent cases involving illegal border crossings. Previously, border guards from the Izmail unit apprehended a 30-year-old man who tried to disguise himself as a 71-year-old woman.
