Ukraine's 'eYasla' Childcare Subsidy for 2026: Eligibility and Monthly Payments of 8,000 to 12,000 UAH.
The 'eYasla' Support Program for 2026
According to TSN.ua: In 2026, Ukraine's 'eYasla' program will provide monthly subsidies to working parents of children aged 1 to 3 years. The benefit amount will range from 8,000 to 12,000 Ukrainian hryvnias (UAH), with the higher sum reserved for families raising a child with a disability. This initiative is part of broader efforts to support young families and encourage workforce participation. A key stipulation is that parents working part-time or who are self-employed will not qualify for these payments.
Eligibility Requirements for Payments
To qualify, applicants must be parents employed full-time. Those working part-time, remotely, or as sole proprietors (FOPs), as well as foster parents and guardians, are excluded from receiving this support. For families with a child who has a disability, the monthly payment is set at 12,000 UAH.
Interested applicants must apply through the Pension Fund of Ukraine. The required documentation includes:
- A valid identity document;
- Taxpayer registration number (RNOКPP);
- The child's birth certificate;
- Official employment order confirming a return to full-time work.
Funds received must be used exclusively to pay for childcare services. Eligible expenses include fees for private preschools, officially registered nannies, or paid services at municipal or state-run kindergartens.
Consequently, the 'eYasla' program aims to assist parents with young children by offering financial aid to cover childcare costs. The policy reflects a focus on supporting employed parents, which may boost labor force engagement but also raises questions about support for other caregiver groups. Ensuring the program is accessible to all families in need could significantly improve living standards for young households in Ukraine.
