New program 'Screening+': how to get a medical check-up for 2000 hryvnias.
According to ТСН: The 'Screening+' program offers a new approach to disease prevention, focusing on service and speed of service.
Medical law expert Zoryana Skaletska shared information on how to use this service during a broadcast on the 'Kyiv24' TV channel.
Action Algorithm: Where to Go and How to Register
According to Skaletska, the process starts with choosing a medical facility.
-
Finding a hospital. First, visit the Ministry of Health's website to find a list of facilities that provide this service.
-
Registration. When the funds (2,000 UAH) are on the card, the patient contacts the chosen hospital for registration. The hospital must schedule a time for the check-up within the next 5 days.
How the Examination is Conducted
The check-up lasts from 30 minutes to one and a half hours. The process is organized in such a way that the patient receives all services in one place without the need to move between rooms.
-
Data collection. First, the auxiliary staff conducts a survey regarding anxiety states or depression, as well as measuring and weighing.
-
Doctor's consultation. The doctor analyzes the collected information, the patient's complaints, and their harmful habits.
-
Results. Based on the visit, a referral will be made to specialists or prescriptions for medications will be issued.
For Patients with Chronic Diseases - Expanded Program
If a person already has a diagnosed condition, such as cardiovascular diseases or diabetes, the examination will be more detailed.
“It will have more substantial content in the examination: more tests and an ECG to determine how much the health condition has worsened,” Skaletska explained.
How This Differs from a Regular Visit
Skaletska emphasizes that the main “feature” of the program is logistical convenience.
“This is not about extra help. This program allows for a very convenient way, in one place, at one time to both consult and take tests,” she noted.
Skaletska also reminded that every Ukrainian, regardless of age, has the right to contact their family doctor within the framework of the Medical Guarantee Program. This allows for free referrals for tests and checking health status in a usual manner.
Recall, the 'Screening Health 40+' program starts on January 1, 2026. Yuliya Svyrydenko shared information about the conditions for receiving payment for the medical check-up.
This initiative aims to simplify access to medical care and increase the level of disease prevention among Ukrainians. With the new changes, citizens can expect faster and better examinations, which, in turn, may influence timely diagnostics and treatment of various diseases.
