New Minimum Subsistence Level: A Reform That Will Affect Everyone.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, stated that the government supports the implementation of large-scale reforms in the field of social protection, particularly regarding the establishment of the minimum subsistence level. This was mentioned during his speech in the Parliament.
The Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of implementing this reform and noted that the government has received proposals for legislative drafts regarding social changes. They need to be studied and discussed before a decision is made.
We need to pursue this reform. And not only this reform; there are several other social reforms we must join together and vote on the relevant legislation.
Earlier, the government decided to freeze the minimum subsistence level for three years. This indicator is important for determining state social guarantees in various fields. Additionally, the minimum wage set at 8000 hryvnias has also been frozen for this period.
