Drone Attacks on Kharkiv Oblast
Separately, a series of drone attacks were recorded in Kharkiv Oblast between February 10 and 11, with devastating consequences for local residents. These attacks are part of a broader pattern of strikes on the city and region, which lies close to the Russian border. Specifically:
- On February 10, Russian forces used a drone to strike a car carrying bread in the village of Oskil, lightly wounding the acting village head, Serhii Nikorych.
- The following day, February 11, a drone attack in Bohodukhiv killed a 34-year-old man and his three children; his pregnant wife was hospitalized.
These events underscore the continuation of hostilities in the region and their severe impact on the civilian population.
The increasing frequency of attacks on Kharkiv Oblast points to an escalation of the conflict in this area, highlighting the persistent threat to civilians. Missile strikes and drone attacks cause significant damage to infrastructure and endanger the lives of local residents. This also risks worsening the humanitarian situation in the region, as the need for medical aid and support for victims grows.
