Record losses of the Russian Federation in October: Zelensky named the number of killed occupiers.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a briefing at the meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff reported record losses of Russian troops in October. According to him, Ukrainian drones destroyed more than 25 thousand Russian occupiers, which has become the largest number of deaths in one month since the beginning of the war.
According to inkorr.com: The President noted that the situation in the Pokrovsky direction remains critical. He spoke about the attempts of Russian troops to quickly capture the city, as well as important events in other sections of the front.
Contractual form of service and military-technical cooperation
Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal announced plans to transition the Armed Forces of Ukraine to a contractual form of service, allowing servicemen to choose their positions and places of service independently. In addition, a memorandum was signed for joint production of fighters with Sweden, as well as a program was announced to counter Russian drones for Kherson and other cities.
Political statements of the president
Zelensky also commented on the situation with Viktor Orban and Alexander Lukashenko, emphasizing the importance of maintaining friendly relations and preventing benefits for Russians in the energy sector. In addition, the president spoke about the arrest of the former head of 'Ukrenergo' Volodymyr Kudrytsky, noting that he did not ensure the safety of Ukrainian energy.
Thus, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky drew attention to the record losses of Russian troops in October, emphasized the critical situation in the Pokrovsky direction, and announced important changes in the contractual form of service and military-technical cooperation with other states. These steps are evidence of the activation of Ukrainian efforts to counter aggression and strengthen the country's defense capabilities in the context of full-scale conflict.
