Escalation of the situation in Odesa region

According to ТСН: Russian aggressors have intensified their attacks on Odesa, trying to cut off part of the region by attacking two key bridges — in Zatoka and in Mayaky.

"There is nothing unusual about the attacks on Odesa. The enemy is trying to cut off half of the region by attacking two key bridges — in Zatoka and in Mayaky. This will lead to additional problems for our exports and imports with Romania,"

said volunteer and blogger Serhii Sternenko.

Sternenko also noted that if the Russians succeed, the region may become a scene of humanitarian catastrophe, as the enemy continues to attack the energy infrastructure.

"However, it is possible to partially solve the logistics problem, including by cooperating with Moldova,"

the volunteer advised.

Threats to Budzhak

Serhii Hnizdilov, a military personnel from Vylkove, expressed concern for the safety of his homeland. He emphasized that the only road connection of Budzhak with Ukraine, namely the Odesa-Reni highway, has come under attack by Shahed drones.

"The bridge in Mayaky will most likely now require repair. Budzhak is sealed off. More than a year ago, I turned to government authorities with a proposal to consider alternative routes of connection to the region, such as pontoon crossings near Zatoka. They said it was impractical because of the war. I wonder what they will say now,"

the military personnel emphasized.

Moldovan border guards also reported that Russian drones attacked the bridge on the Odesa-Reni highway near the Ukrainian village of Mayaky. As a result, the operation of the border crossing points "Palanka — Mayaky-Udobne" and "Tudora — Starokozatske" was suspended.

It should be noted that due to constant shelling of the bridge in Zatoka, the road through Mayaky remained the only route connecting Odesa with the south of the Odesa region, although part of it passes through Moldova.

According to radio electronics expert Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov, the Russian army continues to strike bridges in the Odesa region to isolate the southwestern part of the region.

Recall that Russia attacked a car with children in Odesa region. A drone hit a car with civilians, resulting in a woman's death. Her three children were hospitalized with bodily injuries and acute stress reaction.

In the evening, Russian occupiers once again struck civilian infrastructure in Odesa region.

The situation in the Odesa region remains tense due to constant attacks from Russian forces. Authorities and experts warn of potential humanitarian consequences if these attempts continue. Local residents and military personnel continue to search for solutions to ensure safety and resource delivery, emphasizing the importance of international support.
