Russia is losing the information war: why the world does not believe in its victories without Ukraine.
The Russians have lost the information battle in international media in the context of negotiations to end the war. They wanted to create the impression that everything is already decided and that no one will talk to Ukraine, but this is not the case.
The occupiers' mistake in Russia
Lieutenant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and head of the Centre for Strategic Communications of the National Security and Defense Council
Andriy Kovalenkohighlighted this mistake in Telegram.
According to Kovalenko, Volodymyr Putin continues to believe that he can talk about Ukraine without involving Ukraine in the negotiations. He also thinks that he can express his thoughts about the Baltics without inviting them. However, such thinking proves to be erroneous.
'Russia has long been a country of limited subjectivity, which is completely dependent on the export of energy resources, obtaining weapons from North Korea, acquiring foreign technologies, and evading sanctions through circumvention schemes', Kovalenko emphasized.
Kovalenko stressed that Russia cannot be equal or the main party in joint decisions, and its influence is limited. He also noted that Ukrainians may face serious difficulties if they agree to Russia's conditions regarding the Donetsk region.
It is worth noting that French President Emmanuel Macron supported the Ukrainian people's right to make their own choices and guaranteed support for their choice from Europe. He emphasized that support for Kyiv from the West remains unchanged.
Conclusion
Ukraine does not allow Russia to dictate its will and tries to maintain control over its own territories, not succumbing to the conditions of the occupiers. International support and recognition of the Ukrainian people's right to self-determination play an important role in this process.
