Who Must Report Secondary Employment to the Military Recruitment Center.
Secondary Employment: Employer's Duty to Notify the Recruitment Center
According to Novyny.live: Individuals who hold a primary job and take on secondary employment are not required to personally inform the Territorial Recruitment Center (TCC) about this new work. The legal responsibility to provide this notification falls entirely on the new employer.
For instance, a citizen whose main job is as a teacher can take on a secondary position without any obligation to report it to the TCC. Attorney Vyacheslav Kyryda clarified this situation, stating that the employee bears no such duty. He emphasized that the obligation to inform the TCC about the new employment rests squarely with the employer.
'It is the new employer who must directly report your employment,' noted Vyacheslav Kyryda.
Consequently, employees do not need to worry about additional administrative burdens of notifying the TCC when they assume extra work.
Significance for Employees and Employers
This clarification is crucial for workers considering secondary employment, as it significantly reduces their bureaucratic load. For employers, it means they carry the responsibility for timely TCC notification, which may affect their internal employee accounting procedures. In Ukraine, the TCC manages military conscription, making accurate employment records vital. Therefore, these rules can streamline hiring processes and reduce legal risks for employees within the framework of current legislative requirements.
