- Chernihiv Oblast
- Zaporizhzhia
- Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
- Mykolaiv Oblast
- Kharkiv Oblast
- Odesa Oblast
- Sumy Oblast
These drones were launched from the east, north, and south, significantly increasing the threat to civilian areas. Such large-scale drone attacks have become a frequent tactic in Russia's ongoing invasion, aiming to overwhelm Ukrainian air defenses.
Attack Vectors and Specific Targets
In Chernihiv Oblast, drones approached Kulikivka from the north. Zaporizhzhia was also targeted, with UAVs attempting to reach Balabine and Novomykolaivka. Dnipropetrovsk Oblast faced strikes near Yavornytske and the city of Dnipro. A drone group moved into Mykolaiv Oblast from the south. Kharkiv Oblast was threatened by UAVs heading toward Prolisne and Bezliudivka.
Furthermore, a drone group was detected in Odesa Oblast heading for the settlement of Sarata, while in Sumy Oblast, UAVs were tracked moving westward toward Shostka. The nighttime assault was accompanied by a threat of ballistic weapon use from the Kursk region. In Kyiv Oblast, debris from a downed Russian drone fell on a kindergarten's grounds. During the attacks, 16 people were evacuated from a burning 16-story residential building in Dnipro.
This coordinated drone offensive marks a significant escalation, demonstrating Russia's intent to intensify pressure across multiple fronts. The strikes pose a grave danger to civilians, raising the risk of casualties and critical damage to infrastructure. The evacuation in Dnipro underscores the immediate peril to civilian lives during such bombardments and the urgent need for protective measures.
