Civilian Vehicle Targeted in Drone Attack

According to TSN.ua: A Russian drone targeted a civilian vehicle in the Shostka district of Ukraine's Sumy region on February 21. The attack likely killed two people and wounded a 56-year-old female passenger. This incident is part of a broader pattern of attacks on non-military targets in the ongoing conflict.

Three people were in the car at the time. The injured 56-year-old woman was hospitalized and is receiving necessary medical care.

"The wounded 56-year-old passenger has been hospitalized, and doctors are providing the necessary assistance," stated Oleh Hyhorov.

There are currently grounds to believe that two individuals died.

"The details are being clarified. My condolences to the family and loved ones," he added.

Escalation on the Border

Occupying forces have intensified combat operations along the border of Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The enemy's objective is to stretch the frontline as much as possible.

This attack is part of a wider military escalation in Ukraine, where occupation forces continue active assaults on civilian targets. The use of drones to strike vehicles demonstrates new tactical approaches by the aggressor, which could lead to increased humanitarian losses among the civilian population. The renewed tension on the border underscores the urgent need for sustained international attention to the conflict and the protection of non-combatants.
