Dormitory in Kharkiv Hit by Drone Attack
According to TSN.ua: On March 1, Russian forces struck a dormitory in Kharkiv, igniting a fire and forcing an evacuation of residents. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported the attack in the Shevchenkivskyi district, stating a hostile drone had targeted the building. The city, located near the Russian border, has been a frequent target since the full-scale invasion began in February 2022.

The strike caused significant damage to the dormitory's technical floor, indicating the severity of the hit. Oleg Synehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, confirmed the technical floor was damaged by the shelling. A 75-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction due to the attack, further highlighting the impact of hostilities on civilians.
Kharkiv Endures Continued Drone Assaults
Kharkiv has faced a series of drone attacks throughout the morning. Impacts were recorded on the border of the Kyivskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts, as well as in the Saltivskyi district. Reports indicate strikes on an administrative building and a park. Earlier, an educational institution in Kharkiv was also hit. A Russian 'Molniya'-type drone struck in the city's Novobavarskyi district. Emergency service units and medical teams are on site to assist victims.
This assault is part of an ongoing escalation, with the city repeatedly targeted, damaging civilian infrastructure and endangering lives. The continuation of these attacks underscores the growing threat to the population, forcing emergency and medical services to respond rapidly to the consequences.
