A representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Andriy Chernyak, reported that the Russian army continues to strengthen its positions in the annexed Crimea, fearing the loss of territory.
He stated this in a comment to Krym.Realiyi.
According to him, in response to the threat of losing the peninsula, the Russian troops will increase the number of units and personnel. The main goal of Russia, according to Chernyak, is to ensure the safety of Crimea and its protection.
They are very afraid of losing Crimea. In addition to trying by all means, they are also trying to hold the Kherson territory. Their main goal is to retain Crimea. They want to make Crimea safe for them. They aim to ensure that this territory cannot be seized by anyone. Therefore, they will saturate it with troops as much as possible, and they will maximize the saturation of it with combat equipment.
