Russia Plans Massive Drone Offensive: Over 1,000 UAVs Could Target Multiple Ukrainian Regions.
Russia Shifts Air Attack Strategy Against Ukraine
According to TSN.ua: Moscow is adapting its aerial warfare tactics, introducing new drone types and preparing large-scale strikes across various parts of Ukraine. The enemy intends to deploy long-range and jet-powered unmanned aircraft, with the capacity to launch more than 1,000 drones in a single day. This evolution in strategy could significantly heighten the threat to Ukraine's civilian and energy infrastructure.
Major Strikes on March 25
On the night of March 25, Russia carried out one of its most extensive combined assaults on these targets. In the Kharkiv region, drones struck residential areas, resulting in casualties and injuries. Meanwhile, the town of Slavutych lost power, and approximately 150,000 subscribers in the Chernihiv region were left without electricity. The Odesa region also suffered, with residential buildings destroyed and at least one fatality and one injury reported.
In the Poltava region, dozens of buildings and infrastructure facilities were damaged, while in Sumy, the enemy employed a tactic of repeated strikes targeting rescue workers. On March 24, Russia launched a massive attack on Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Vinnytsia, and Zhytomyr. These events underscore the grave threat facing Ukraine.
Security expert Mykola Malomuzh notes: 'Russia has chosen a tactic of stockpiling at least 1,000 attack drones for a single day.'
He also warns Ukrainians against complacency: 'But we must not relax, because they will definitely carry out another series of continuous strikes, even during the day.' These remarks indicate that the threat from Russia remains acute, demanding constant vigilance from both Ukrainian defense forces and the civilian population.
Recent developments point to an escalation in Russian aggression, likely marking a new phase in the conflict. The shift in air attack tactics could lead to severe destruction and heightened risks for civilians. It is crucial that Ukrainian authorities and military personnel remain prepared for such challenges and continue strengthening their defensive positions.
