Latvian MFA on the strikes in Kyiv: Kremlin's actions are outright terror.
According to ТСН: The head of the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Baiba Braze, commented on the massive attack by Russia on the Ukrainian capital and its energy facilities.
In her statement on social media, she emphasized that the Kremlin's actions are blatant terror against peaceful citizens, and especially cynical during the Christmas holidays.
“Russia sows terror, war, death, and destruction, while the world peacefully celebrates Christmas,” Braze stressed.
She also noted that the brutal attacks on residential areas and Ukraine's energy infrastructure lead to injuries and civilian casualties, and the whole world is witnessing these crimes.
Call to the international community
The head of the Latvian MFA called on international partners to show determination in this situation.
“It is necessary to increase pressure on Russia to stop this,” she summarized.
Earlier, it was reported that Russia carried out a combined massive missile and drone strike, lasting about a day. The main target of the enemy was Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
As a result of the terrorist attack by the Russian army, several key energy facilities in the region were damaged.
The situation remains tense, and the international community is monitoring the developments. Expressions of support from Latvia and other countries indicate that the world will not remain indifferent to the aggression and intentions of the Kremlin and will continue to support Ukraine in this critical time.
