Russia attacked a gas production enterprise in Kharkiv region: more than 10 Shaheds.
According to ТСН: Russian occupiers attacked the gas production enterprise of the Smart Energy group in Kharkiv region, resulting in serious damage to the equipment.
On their Facebook page, Smart Energy reported that more than 10 Shahed drones were used during the large-scale attack. As a result of the massive assault, the equipment was damaged, but the consequences are currently being clarified.
Absence of casualties and recovery plans
Fortunately, there were no casualties since the enterprise had not been operating since the beginning of the year due to a suspended special extraction permit.
“We are ready to immediately begin the restoration of the facility. However, this directly depends on the decisions of the authorities regarding the unblocking of licenses,” stated Smart Energy.
It should also be noted that on December 9, Russian troops attacked gas infrastructure facilities in Ukraine that supply fuel to the population. This led to the destruction of critically important equipment, but fortunately, there were no casualties.
The attack on the gas production enterprise occurred in the context of an escalation of the conflict, as Russian forces are striking critical infrastructure facilities, especially during the winter period, which has become particularly challenging for the country. The issues of operational recovery and support for Ukraine's energy security remain important.
