Russian Shelling of Kherson Wounds Three Women in Nighttime Attack.
Shelling Strikes Kherson's Koralnyi District
According to TSN.ua: On February 7, Russian forces targeted the Koralnyi district of Kherson, injuring three women in an attack that occurred around 11:10 PM. The strike hit a residential area where civilians were present at the time. This incident is part of a broader pattern of attacks on Ukrainian cities near the front lines, which have escalated in recent months.
Two of the women, aged 86 and 44, sustained blast injuries and were hospitalized in moderate condition. A 76-year-old woman received medical treatment at the scene but declined to be taken to the hospital.
The attack caused significant alarm among local residents who witnessed the assault. It underscores the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, which continues to inflict severe harm on civilian populations despite international calls for the protection of non-combatants.
Ongoing Challenges for Kherson Residents
As a city located close to active front lines, Kherson faces regular attacks, creating profound challenges for the safety and well-being of its inhabitants. Given this persistent threat, ensuring access to medical care and support for victims, alongside implementing measures to protect civilians during hostilities, remains critically important.
