New tactics of the Russian Federation: Shaheds drop anti-tank mines near crash sites.
According to ТСН: A new dangerous tactic of attacks from Russia is being observed in Ukraine. Strike drones of the "Shahed" type have begun to drop anti-tank mines PTM-3.
Military Sergey "Flash" Beskrestnov notes that this is not only about remote mining of certain areas. In many cases, explosive devices remain close to drone crash sites, anticipating that rescuers, police, or other vehicles will arrive there.
A particular threat is posed by the fact that PTM-3 mines are equipped with magnetic detonators — they can be triggered by the approach or movement of a vehicle.
Despite previously being known about the use of such mines with drones, their number has significantly increased recently. This is related to weather conditions: due to deep snow, it has become much harder to detect explosive devices, which increases the risk of detonations.
Recommendations from specialists
Specialists urge:
not to approach the crash sites of the "Shaheds" with vehicles;
to avoid moving equipment along the possible trajectory of the drone's descent;
not to approach the wreckage without the participation of sapper teams.
The provided photos show a container for dropping the mine, which is used on board the drone. The PTM-3 mine has a square shape.
Citizens are urged to be extremely cautious and to immediately notify the relevant services if they detect suspicious objects.
Earlier, fires broke out in Kyiv due to debris from UAVs. Fires were recorded in the Dnipro and Pechersk districts. Emergency services arrived at the scene.
In the Pechersk district, there was a fire in a residential building, and elsewhere in Pechersk, vehicles caught fire in the yard of a residential area. Information about casualties and the extent of the damage is being clarified.
These events indicate a growing risk to the population amid the active use of new tactics of warfare. Every resident must remain cautious and follow the instructions of specialists to avoid dangers associated with explosive objects.
