The railway station in Fastiv has been destroyed: Ukrzaliznytsia has resumed traffic and announced the construction of a new one.
According to ТСН: The railway station in Fastiv will be completely demolished due to shelling, and a new building will be constructed in its place. The mayor reported that a temporary modular structure will be installed on the platform during construction, and for now, a tent has been set up for passengers. Despite the complete destruction of the station as a result of the attack, Ukrzaliznytsia has already resumed train services through the city, and long-distance passenger trains have already started operating. The next step involves a partial restoration of suburban electric train services.
Elimination of the consequences of shelling
Fastiv residents note that the most important thing is that no one was injured during the massive shelling of the station.
“Last night, another Russian attack occurred. Both civilian houses and industrial facilities were damaged. Fastiv has been suffering from missile strikes for several weeks, with damage recorded,”the correspondent reports.
The most challenging situation has been observed during the last attacks. The Russian aggressors used “Shaheds” against the station and depot.
“Ukrzaliznytsia has already resumed train services. Suburban electric train services have been organized. The station will be demolished, and a new building will be erected in its place,”the mayor noted.
Heating points and support
Heating points have been established near the station where people can warm up, charge their phones, and get information about train services. The station manager, who has worked here for 25 years, immediately cleaned the area with colleagues after the first “arrival” to check if everyone was safe.
