The first victim of the new year: Russian shelling of Kherson claimed the life of a 31-year-old man.
According to ТСН: Russian troops struck the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson, resulting in the death of a 31-year-old local resident.
Events in Kherson
This information was confirmed by the head of the Kherson City Military Administration, Yaroslav Shanko.
“There is already the first victim of Russian terrorists in the New Year,” noted the head of the Military Administration in social media.
The man suffered injuries incompatible with life.
Shanko expressed his condolences to the relatives and loved ones of the deceased.
Investigations and other shellings
The Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office reported that a pre-trial investigation has been launched regarding the murder of the man, which led to the death of a person.
Additionally, on January 1, explosions were heard in Kharkiv: according to preliminary data, Russian troops attacked the suburb using a guided aerial bomb (GAB). Currently, information is known about one injured person, and work continues on-site to assess the consequences of the strike.
These tragedies underscore the constant risk faced by civilians in Ukraine. Shelling continues, and Ukrainian law enforcement agencies are working to investigate crimes to restore justice and ensure safety for the population.
