Dnipro Targeted in February 28th Assault

According to TSN.ua: During a Russian military attack on Dnipro in the early hours of February 28, a downed drone crashed just meters from the private residence of Mayor Borys Filatov. The assault resulted in damage to infrastructure and left one person wounded.

Russian forces struck the city with attack drones, damaging transport infrastructure and multi-story residential buildings. One man sustained injuries.

Borys Filatov: 'The downed 'Shahed' drone fell just 10 meters from my private house.'

He also noted that 'the situation here was saved by an ordinary, thick retaining wall.'

This incident underscores the ongoing threat to Ukrainian cities far from the front lines. The events in Dnipro have heightened concern among local residents, as the danger from such strikes remains acute.

Broader Conflict Context

The attack on Dnipro is part of the wider armed conflict continuing in Ukraine. It highlights the persistent aggression by the Russian Federation, which employs drones to strike civilian targets, thereby threatening the safety of the non-combatant population. The increasing frequency of such incidents points to the urgent need for enhanced protective measures for citizens and greater regional stability.
