Russian Economic Terror: The Enemy Has Exported Over 180 Thousand Tons of Stolen Ukrainian Grain.
Russia Uses Food as an Element of Aggression
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated that Russia continues to use food as an element of aggression. He made this statement during a government meeting.
Quote: "Through the port of Mariupol alone this year, the enemy has exported over 180 thousand tons of stolen Ukrainian grain. The robbery of temporarily occupied territories is occurring to finance the aggressive war with stolen money," Shmyhal reported.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Russian economic terror will be one of the focuses of the special tribunal on the crime of aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
Ukrainian Export is Increasing Performance
According to the head of the government, from January to September 2024, Ukrainian exports exceeded 100 million tons, which is 36% more than last year. In monetary terms, this amounted to 28.9 billion dollars.
"This became possible thanks to the functioning of the Black Sea maritime corridor, thanks to state support for Ukrainian exporters, and thanks to the diligent work of entrepreneurs in export-oriented sectors of the economy," Shmyhal explained.
The leader in exports remains the agricultural sector, noted the head of the Cabinet of Ministers. Ukraine is ready to continue guaranteeing global food security.
Quote: "Almost 57 million tons of new harvest of grains, oilseeds, and sugar beets have already been harvested. Ukraine grows much more than it can consume. Therefore, we help countries on different continents," Shmyhal reported.
