Zaporizhzhia Comes Under Attack
According to TSN.ua: A Russian 'Shahed' drone struck the city of Zaporizhzhia, wounding three civilians. The victims include a 75-year-old man and two women, aged 73 and 55. The attack also destroyed a residential building.
This assault on February 10th is part of an ongoing Russian offensive against the city. The strike additionally damaged a district heating network, a kindergarten, and several other apartment blocks. The city of Zaporizhzhia, a frequent target, is home to Europe's largest nuclear power plant, heightening regional concerns.
Ivan Fedorov, head of the regional military administration, confirmed the details. Emergency services are currently working at the site as the situation in the city remains tense.
A Pattern of Sustained Aggression
This incident is part of Russia's prolonged aggression against Ukraine, which began in 2014, and highlights an intensification of hostilities in the area. The targeting of civilian infrastructure, including homes and social facilities, endangers innocent lives and creates severe challenges for local authorities tasked with protecting the population.
