Artists of the Hutsuliya ensemble attacked in Lviv region: police did not detain the attackers.
According to ТСН: The artists of the national ensemble 'Hutsuliya' reported that a group of young men attacked them in the Lviv region.
The artistic director of the ensemble, Vasyl Sheremeta, mentioned that the group was returning from a tour abroad, having visited Poland and Finland. During a stop at a gas station in the city of Sheptytsky at night, the young men attacked the artists.
'A group of about 6 aggressive young men and three 'ladies' in an inadequate state broke into the bus, scattered belongings, provoked a conflict, and later began physical violence. It was not a 'fight.' It was a one-sided attack,' Sheremeta stated.
He noted that as a result of the incident, the artists suffered numerous injuries: broken noses, bruises, concussion, and a serious fracture that requires surgery. The ensemble's administrator was also injured, suffering a rib bruise and experiencing severe stress.
Sheremeta expressed dissatisfaction with the actions of the police who arrived at the scene. According to him, law enforcement officers calmly interacted with the attackers, not reacting to their aggression and foul language. The attackers were not detained.
In a video published by the artist, young men, along with a girl, insult the police officers, who do not respond to provocations.
Attention! The footage contains foul language and scenes of violence 18+.
'We do not draw conclusions—we ask questions. We are not looking for hype—we are looking for justice,' emphasized the leader of the group.
Sheremeta noted that this is not the first incident involving these young men. The ensemble's employees filed reports with the police, recorded injuries, and demand an objective and public investigation.
The Lviv Regional Police have not yet commented on this situation.
The reports about the attack on the artists reveal a serious problem with aggression and violence in society that requires attention. It is important for law enforcement agencies to respond adequately to such incidents and ensure the safety of citizens, especially in cases involving attacks on individuals who have dedicated their lives to art.
