Russia has amassed 2000 drones for winter strikes: how Ukraine is preparing for attacks.
According to ТСН: The Russian occupying forces have prepared a large arsenal of unmanned aerial vehicles that they plan to use for attacks on Ukraine during the winter period. Currently, the enemy has about 2000 ready-to-use UAVs.
Threat from drones
Noted Ukrainian expert on electronic warfare and communication systems Serhiy 'Flash' Beskrestnov shared this data on Telegram:
'At present, the Russians have accumulated about 2000 UAVs (of which about 1400 are Shaheds) that they can deploy. These 2000 UAVs can be launched in the format of 2-3 massive strikes or evenly distributed over the winter period,'
— he noted.
The expert also emphasized the unprecedented level of threat that Ukrainian air defense has already faced. The largest drone attack occurred in the autumn of this year:
'The maximum number of enemy UAVs launched in a day was 750. This was the strike on September 7, 2025,'
— he reported.
According to the expert, this figure does not take into account the reserve stock of UAVs that may be used in future attacks.
It should be noted that earlier it was reported that Russia continues to improve drones for attacks on the territory of Ukraine, implementing new technologies and increasing the power of explosives.
In the face of the growing threat, the Ukrainian air defense continues to strengthen its positions and adapt to new challenges. Given the preparation of Russian forces, it is important to maintain the most effective defense strategy and real actions to protect the territory of Ukraine.Read also
