The Kherota River has flooded Sochi

In the city of Sochi, the Kherota River overflowed its banks and caused flooding on the streets. Videos recorded show destruction and damage to buildings and infrastructure. People are facing obstacles when moving and are also experiencing problems with water and electricity supply.

The flooding has also spread to the road between Sochi and Adler, leading to a paralysis of vehicle traffic.

Near Sirius, strong waves have flooded the promenade and created a large body of water. Cars parked in the parking lots are completely submerged underwater.

Recall that the disaster of two tankers with oil products in the Kerch Strait on December 15 may be one of the largest man-made disasters in the Black Sea. The oil slick has reached the Russian city of Anapa, where a state of emergency has been declared.
