Ukrainian Special Forces Strike Russian Missile Depot and Radar in Crimea.
Special Operations Forces Execute Successful Strikes
According to TSN.ua: Ukraine's Special Operations Forces (SOF) have carried out a coordinated attack on several key Russian military installations within the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts. This operation successfully neutralized multiple high-value targets, including:
- a missile and artillery weapons depot
- a radar station
- a warehouse for reconnaissance drones
- a logistics and material support storage facility
The strikes targeted an arsenal in the Shyroka Balka area of occupied Donetsk Oblast. In occupied Sevastopol, a 64N6E radar station was destroyed. A warehouse holding reconnaissance drones was hit in Novozlatopil, and a logistics supply depot was eliminated in Mar'yanivka, Zaporizhzhia Oblast. These deep strikes, reaching targets hundreds of kilometers away, were made possible by the use of long-range precision weaponry. Such capabilities are crucial for disrupting Russian supply lines and command structures far behind the front lines.
Cooperation with the Resistance Movement
Local resistance groups operating within the occupied territories played a vital role in preparing for these attacks by providing intelligence and support. This operation follows a previous mission, codenamed 'Citadel', conducted by the SOF's 73rd Maritime Center, highlighting the sustained and growing activity of Ukrainian special forces. The collaboration with partisans demonstrates a sophisticated, multi-faceted approach to warfare in occupied regions.
The success of this mission underscores Ukraine's strategic use of modern technology and local partnerships to degrade Russian military capabilities on occupied land. Destroying these key assets can significantly hinder the enemy's operational capacity and signals the continued, adaptive pressure Ukrainian forces are applying across the conflict zone. These actions reflect the increasing effectiveness and precision of Ukraine's special operations in a protracted war.
