The attack occurred near the 'Magnus' shopping center around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 22. Among the injured, 11 individuals required hospitalization, with six law enforcement officers reported to be in serious condition. This incident is part of a pattern of attacks that have targeted Ukrainian cities since the full-scale invasion began.

Official Response and Commentary
Commenting on the situation, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko stated: 'We did everything possible and impossible to identify those who committed this terrorist act.'
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also confirmed the arrest of the individual suspected of carrying out the attack in Lviv.
The deceased officer, Viktoriia Shpylka, served as a patrol police officer from the Volyn region. The attack has provoked a strong public reaction, as it represents another in a series of terrorist incidents within Ukraine. Law enforcement agencies maintain control of the situation and continue their investigation.
This event underscores the persistent threat of terrorism facing Ukraine, a reality sharply intensified by the ongoing war with Russia. While authorities continue to implement security measures for citizens, such incidents raise questions about their effectiveness. The suspect's detention may prove a crucial step in the investigation and in preventing similar attacks in the future.
