«Preliminary information indicates that a 56-year-old man, a 44-year-old woman, and their 11-year-old daughter were found in a private residence without signs of life. Their 4-year-old son was also in the premises and was hospitalized in serious condition,»

It is preliminarily believed that the tragedy could have occurred due to carbon monoxide poisoning, likely as a result of a gas boiler failure. An investigation is currently underway.

The Bucha district police department in the Kyiv region has opened a criminal proceeding under paragraph 1, paragraph 2 part 2 article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

This case is not isolated: recently in Kirovohrad region, two children and one adult died due to carbon monoxide poisoning.

Also, in Prykarpattya, there was a case of carbon monoxide leakage, causing a one-month-old infant to be poisoned and urgently taken to the hospital.

Tragedies related to carbon monoxide poisoning underscore the danger of using gas appliances without proper monitoring and maintenance. As recent incidents show, it is important to follow safety measures at home to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
