According to ТСН: A teenager died at the railway station "Vydubychi" in Kyiv after climbing onto the roof of a suburban train and receiving a fatal electric shock.

The police reported that a 16-year-old boy was trying to climb onto the city electric train when he was struck by electricity. He died from his injuries.

Rescue operations

According to rescuers, they waited for the power to be cut from the overhead line before starting to retrieve the body. During this time, train traffic on the section was temporarily suspended.

Investigation of the incident

The Kyiv police reported that an investigative team was sent to the scene to establish the circumstances of the tragedy. Preliminary data indicates that no third parties were involved in the incident.

Restoration of traffic

Passenger services at the station have been restored with some restrictions: boarding and alighting for Kyiv City Express passengers is currently carried out from the third track. One of the upcoming trains clockwise has departed with a delay of about 20 minutes.

It is noted that earlier there was a report of an incident at the "Slavutych" metro station, where law enforcement detained a 26-year-old man who risked his life riding between carriages of the electric train.

This tragedy at the "Vydubychi" station once again highlights the danger that teenagers face when ignoring safety rules on the railway. It is important for everyone to consciously consider their own safety and avoid actions that may threaten their lives. The incident has also raised concerns about safety in public transport and the need to enhance control in such situations.
