Trump Rejected Ukraine's 'Friends' Haley and Pompeo in the New Administration.
Trump Will Not Include Pompeo and Haley in the New Administration
Newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump announced his decision not to include two influential members of his previous team - former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and former U.S. Representative to the UN Nikki Haley - in his new administration.
According to DW, Trump announced his decision on the social network Truth Social, adding that he highly values their previous work and thanks them for their service to the country.
It is worth noting that Mike Pompeo recently presented a plan to support Ukraine, which includes expanding military aid and strengthening sanctions against the Russian energy sector.
Nikki Haley, who competed against Trump in this year's Republican primaries, supported his candidacy after dropping out of the race, although she had criticized some of his statements.
Pompeo and Haley were known for their active support of Ukraine and advocated for expanding aid against Russian aggression
At the moment, the only appointment in the future administration has been given to Susie Wiles, who managed Trump's election campaign. She will become the first woman to hold the position of White House Chief of Staff in U.S. history.
