According to inkorr.com: On the evening of November 8, a major blackout occurred in Belgorod, Russia. About 20 thousand local residents were left without electricity due to a possible rocket strike. Damage occurred at the heat power plant 'Luch', where gas turbine units stopped due to the attack.
The CHP 'Luch' provides electricity not only to Belgorod but also to neighboring settlements. Currently, part of the city remains without power. The governor of Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov reported that over 20 thousand people are suffering from the power outage. He also mentioned that the Russian air defense intercepted certain aerial targets, and debris is to blame for the incident.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukrainian forces are striking Belgorod region in response to constant attacks from Russia. This is not the first case of attacks on Belgorod. The city's residents constantly face issues with electricity supply and other difficulties due to the conflict in the region.
As a result of the massive blackout in Belgorod, more than 20 thousand people were left without power due to a possible rocket strike on the local heat power plant.
