Russia attacked energy facilities overnight: which regions experience power outages.
According to ТСН: Russia struck energy facilities in several regions of Ukraine, leading to increased electricity consumption.
This was reported by "Ukrenergo".
"Overnight, the enemy attacked energy facilities in several regions. As a result, by morning, there are consumers without power in the Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Zaporizhia, and Donetsk regions. Everywhere, where safety conditions currently allow, emergency recovery operations are already underway. In other locations, energy workers are awaiting permission from military personnel," the statement said.
In most regions of Ukraine, measures are being implemented today to limit consumption: schedules for limiting industrial consumers and businesses, as well as hourly outages.
Impact of attacks on energy infrastructure
The head of the State Energy Supervision Inspectorate of Ukraine, Anatoliy Zamulko, reported that due to the massive attack by the Russian Federation on the energy infrastructure, Ukrainian nuclear power plants had to reduce electricity generation capacity. He also noted that Russian troops were striking at electricity redistribution facilities between Ukrainian regions.
The situation in the energy sector of Ukraine remains tense amid ongoing attacks. The authorities continue to take measures to ensure energy security and support critical infrastructure. Emergency services are working on restoring electricity supply, but the consequences of the attacks may last quite a long time.
