Heating Still Out for 19 Kyiv Buildings Following January 9th Shelling.
Heating Situation in Kyiv
According to TSN.ua: Nineteen apartment buildings in Kyiv's Holosiivskyi district remain without heating as a result of shelling that occurred on January 9th. Across the capital, a total of 32 multi-story buildings are currently without heat, with restoration work underway to resume supply. This incident highlights the ongoing vulnerability of civilian infrastructure during the winter months.
“We still have 19 buildings without heating following the shelling.”
Petro Panteleiev
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko added that, “out of 6,000 buildings, we are now restoring heat to another 32 high-rises where the most complex repairs are needed.”
Efforts to Restore Heating Supply
Municipal utility crews are focused on restoring the heating supply, which is essential for resident comfort during winter. The lack of heat in freezing conditions poses a serious challenge for the capital's residents.
Restoring Kyiv's heating network is a top priority for local authorities, given the damage to infrastructure. Utility services are actively working to reconnect buildings, underscoring the critical need to maintain livable conditions for the population amid the ongoing conflict.
