According to ТСН: An incident occurred in the Obolonskyi district of the capital: a pet wolf attacked its owner, causing her serious injuries. The animal had lived in unsanitary conditions for a long time, which could have affected its aggressive behavior.

Rescuers from the Wild Animals Rescue Center immediately arrived at the scene after receiving the call. Animal rights activists noted that the woman kept the wolf in unsuitable conditions, which led to the animal's stress.

“An inadequate woman had been keeping the animal at her home for a long time. Of course, in such unsuitable conditions, the wild animal's stress increased and aggression manifested, so the wolf attacked her, severely tore her arm and bit her thigh,” the statement says.

Neighbors called for an ambulance, and medics took the injured woman to the hospital, where she received necessary help. After treatment, the woman could not return home as the wolf would not allow her to enter the apartment. She turned to rescuers for help.

The Wild Animals Rescue Center also reported that this is not the first case where the woman keeps wild animals. Earlier, two wolves had already been confiscated from her and later sent to better conditions abroad.

“Besides the fact that the wild animal was kept in an apartment, there was also terrible unsanitary conditions, dirt, a horrible stench, the wolf has neither vaccinations nor treatments. This time we will do everything in our power to prevent such incidents and to ensure that this woman does not acquire wild animals again,” animal rights activists say in their statement.

Animal activists agreed with the neighbors on the need to promptly report any appearance of new wild animals from the woman, noting that in such cases she will face consequences.

Representatives of the organization emphasized that keeping wild animals in domestic conditions is cruel to them and dangerous for people.

Now the wolf has a chance at life in a better place, not in a cramped, dirty apartment,” they added.

At the same time, the situation in Odesa has worsened due to the opening of the Cat Lounge cafe, where kitten rentals are offered. Animal rights activists reported the death of two animals, finding violations in documentation and sanitary conditions. The café owner denied the accusations, while activists are involved in rescuing exhausted animals and demanding accountability from the organizers.

This incident with the wolf highlights the dangers of keeping wild animals in domestic conditions, which can lead to severe consequences not only for the animals but also for their owners. Moreover, the active actions of animal rights activists underline the importance of control and media responsibility regarding the maintenance of wild animals.
