Air raid alert in Kyiv and regions: drones heading towards the capital.
According to ТСН: An air raid alert has been declared in Kyiv and several regions of Ukraine. This is indicated by information on the alarm map.
Air raid sirens were heard in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Rivne, and Volyn regions, as well as in the 'red' zones of Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia regions and Crimea.
Actions of the Air Force
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted the flights of Russian drones in the northern part of Rivne region towards the west. Drones were also spotted in the south of Chernihiv region, moving towards the capital.
In particular, one strike drone is heading over the settlement of Lyubychiv towards Kyiv.
Attack on infrastructure
Recall that on the night of December 26, Russian drones mass attacked Ukraine's logistical infrastructure. In Odesa and Mykolaiv regions, elevators, warehouses, and three foreign ships under the flags of Slovakia, Palau, and Liberia were damaged. As a result of the shelling, fires broke out and there were partial power outages. Also, in Volyn, the 'Kovel' station came under attack, where a locomotive, a car, and a depot were damaged.
These alarming reports about the air threat once again emphasize the tense situation in Ukraine. Attacks on infrastructure lead to serious damage and require attention from government services. Citizens should follow safety measures during air raid alerts and keep an eye on official announcements.
