Police Launch Investigation After Teenagers Set Off Fireworks in Kyiv.
Incident in Kyiv's Holosiivskyi District
According to TSN.ua: On February 28, 2023, an incident in Kyiv's Holosiivskyi district prompted a police response. Authorities were alerted after a group of teenagers, including a 16-year-old boy, were involved in setting off fireworks. Following a report to the emergency line 102, patrol units and an investigative team were dispatched to the scene. In Ukraine, the unauthorized use of pyrotechnics in populated areas is a serious offense due to safety risks.
During a search of the area, an empty firework launcher was discovered. One of the teenagers involved stated:
"I found the fireworks on the street and decided to set them off". Based on the evidence, police have initiated criminal proceedings to determine the full circumstances of the event and hold those responsible accountable.

This case highlights the vital importance of following safety regulations when handling pyrotechnics, particularly among young people.
