The Russians have attacked Kryvy Rih: There are casualties and damage to infrastructure.

According to ТСН: On January 7, Kryvy Rih was seriously attacked by Russian occupiers using drones and missiles. As a result of these attacks, part of the city's infrastructure was destroyed, and there were civilian casualties.

This was announced by the Chairman of the Kryvy Rih City Council, Oleksandr Wilkul, during a press conference.

Injured in hospitals

The morning drone attack by the 'Shahed' on the company resulted in no casualties, but the daytime strikes led to significant consequences. Wilkul noted that currently, eight people are in hospitals.

'Eight people in hospitals, thank God, all are alive, but two are seriously injured. One has already undergone surgery, and another boy is still undergoing surgery,' the official reported.

Rescue operations and firefighting are underway at the attack sites.

Hydraulic shocks and pipe breaks

The enemy attack led to disruptions in the city's life-support systems. As a result of the attacks, pumping stations and heating plants were shut down. Although water pressure has been restored and over 30 heating plants have been restarted, the system has suffered from pressure fluctuations.

'We see a large water inflow into the heating system - about 200 tons per hour. This means breaks due to hydraulic shocks,' Wilkul explained.

Survey groups are examining the networks to find damaged sections that will be shut down for repair work.

Threat of blackout

Furthermore, Wilkul warned residents about possible power outages.

'Serious emergency power outages are possible. Please get water and charge your devices,' he appealed to the city residents.

The authorities assured that critical infrastructure is powered by generators and there are still 'Unyielding Points' in the city.
