Russia rejected trilateral negotiations with the US and Ukraine: Kremlin statement

According to ТСН: Currently, no trilateral meeting is planned between Russia, the US, and Ukraine.

This statement was made by Yuri Ushakov, assistant to Russian President Vladimir Putin on foreign policy issues.

“The provisions that Kyiv and Europe are trying to include in the settlement plan hinder the achievement of a long-term peace,” he added.

It was previously reported that negotiations between the Russian and American sides in Miami will continue, and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio may join them. Meetings dedicated to the topic of peace are also scheduled for Sunday in Miami.

Negotiations between the Russian Federation and the US

According to information, negotiations between Russia and the US on December 20 were characterized by the Russian side as “constructive.” Russian President Vladimir Putin's envoy Kirill Dmitriev noted that they “began earlier” and will continue the following day. He provided this information after meeting with Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff and US President's son-in-law Jared Kushner.

Thus, although trilateral negotiations are not planned at this time, the situation between Russia and the US continues to develop. Meetings in Miami could be an important step towards peaceful resolution, considering the constructive nature of the ongoing negotiations. The further development of events will depend on the positions of all parties involved.
